M11-135 Evelyn is a handsome Abyssinian X lady about two years old. She missed the moving van in her neighborhood because she was busy raising her daughter under the deck of a Magicats volunteer's house. After seeing little Juno adopted to a wonderful family, she realized that the colony alley cats were not excited about her moving in permanently. Besides, it was getting cold out, so she invited herself inside where she remains until her purr-fect home turns up. Evelyn shows her Abyssinian blood in her long, lean body, her tawny undercoat, and her elegantly shaped head and large ears; as well as in her engaging temperament and pleasant disposition. She's smart and resourceful, too. She shows the other side of her ancestry in muted tabby spangles and stripes. Evelyn is in great health and condition; she's negative for FIV/FELV and has had all her shots for a year. She gets along well with other cats when properly introduced, but would do best as First Cat and Best Forever Friend to someone with a great lap and maybe a computer where she can watch you work. She's very clean and would love a great scratching post. We don't think she's experienced with dogs, and she probably would not be best with small children. Evelyn has an old eye injury that causes her left eye to water, especially when the weather is chilly. After a thorough examination, our veterinarian diagnosed it as an old injury, healed as well as it is going to, and unlikely to cause her further problems beyond her characteristic wink.
